If you perform the updates with the MCConfig program, you should always use the current MCConfig program.

Note for firmware versions 3.15 and later:

This firmware implements requirements that will become mandatory as of August 1, 2025, 
under the ISO 27001, NIS2, EN 18031, and RED-DA standards.

Starting with this firmware version, it is mandatory for the user to configure a username and password.
Until this is done, the MC’s bridge function remains disabled.
Users who wish to disable this requirement must set the “Global Security” parameter to “Low” under "Configuration->Security".
In the event of a firmware update from firmware version <= 3.14, this setting is applied automatically to ensure that the device continues to function after the upgrade and that access to the configuration is maintained.

If a new device running firmware version 3.15.x is configured by importing a configuration file generated with firmware version < 3.15, you may need to either set a username and password or set “Global Security” to “Low.”
We recommend operating MC devices with “Global Security” set to “High.”
